Love him or loathe him (the latter seeming to be the majority’s opinion), what are your current views on Eddie Mitchell? I for one am going to sit on the fence like Steve Claridge did the night of “the incident”. I can see both sides. In a sense I agree with Eddie Mitchell being upset for injecting all this money into AFCB and being re-payed with verbal abuse from the North Stand and not applause. But I can also feel the supporter’s disappointment at their team losing. But Mitchell isn’t to blame. After all, isn’t it the manager who orders the team - not the chairman?
Let’s face it, Mitchell had a bit too much to drink and I agree his incident was shameful but nonetheless Lee Bradbury is the one sorting the football side of things out, Mitchell is the one sorting out the budget, the business and how he can brand AFCB so directing all your frustration at Mitchell is pointless really and his rant was pointless as well.
I heard a few cries of “Bradbury out!” versus Bury, but this seemed to be coming from the minority and you had to listen real hard to hear anything at all.
If you would like to give your views on the Mitchell incident or Mitchell-gate as I like to call it, give us a shout at mycherryblood@hotmail.co.uk and in our follow-up article I will publish all entries.
